The Cincinnati Reds (9-7) and Seattle Mariners (7-10) play the middle contest of a 3-game interleague series at T-Mobile Park Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 9:40 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Reds vs. Marinersodds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Mariners won Monday's series opener 9-3 as moderate favorites (-135) as the Over (7) cashed

The Reds fell into a 3-0 hole after the 1st inning Monday and trailed 5-1 after 3 frames. They were never able to get back closer after that. The loss halted a 3-game win streak, all against the lowly Chicago White Sox. Cincinnati is still 5-2 on the road this season.

The Mariners collected 6 extra-base hits in the victory. DH Mitch Haniger led the charge with a double and home run with 3 RBIs, while RF Luke Raley had a triple, a single and an RBI. The first 4 batters in Seattle's lineup each had at least 1 walk (5 total) and 8 of the 9 starters had at least 1 hit.

Reds at Mariners picks and predictions

Prediction

Mariners 5, Reds 2

Moneyline

The MARINERS (-130) are a strong play behind Gilbert. While he has had some tough luck with the bullpen knuckling under in his starts, with 2 of 3 games going to extra innings, Seattle is 2-1 in those outings, including his only previous appearance at T-Mobile Park this season.

The Reds have lost all 3 of Greene's starts, and he has had a bit of a lack of control, issuing 6 walks and allowing 14 hits and 2 homers in the 3 games. Trust the team with a pitcher in better form, and that's Gilbert and the M's.

Run line/Against the spread

The MARINERS -1.5 (+165) is a decent play on the run line. Seattle piled up 9 runs in a blowout win in the series opener. While the bullpen has spoiled 2 games for Gilbert to date, eventually winning in extra innings, Seattle should be able to cobble together enough offense for the cover against Greene, who has been a little on the shaky side.

Over/Under

AVOID as the total should come right down on the number.

If there was a lean, it would be slightly to the Over as Greene allowed 2 solo homers against the Brewers last time out, and Gilbert has allowed 4 bombs in his 3 starts, with at least one in each start.
