St. John Primary/St. Theresa Middle has announced Amanda Lambert as the recipient of the 2024 Mother Seton Award.

Amanda Lambert

For more than seven years, Lambert has given selflessly of her time to both St. John Primary and St. Theresa Middle.  She serves with Home and School on various committees, is head of the Sharing and Caring Committee for both campuses and has facilitated the yearly Catholic School Week Masses at St. Theresa of Avila Church.

Lambert also holds a seat on the SJP/STA School Advisory Board. All of this is accomplished while she teaches full time Quest for Success, AP Human Geography and Educators Rising classes at the high school level.

Her family is active at St. Theresa of Avila in Gonzales. Her daughter, Ella, is graduating eighth grade at St. Theresa Middle this year.

“We are grateful to her for her joyful heart and generous nature,” a news release said. “She is an invaluable asset to our school community.”

The Mother Seton Award is sponsored each year by the Diocesan Home and School Association to honor those individuals whose volunteer service and dedication to home, school, and church have been exemplary. The honoree espouses gospel values and emulates the qualities of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first native-born citizen of the United States to be canonized by the Roman Catholic Church.
